From your fundraising committee....
From the responses to the fundraising survey, it is the opinion of the overwhelming majority that all athletes participate in some fundraising activities.   Reasons noted in the comments include:  builds team spirit; want my child to do some of the work in raising funds; athletes should contribute to the costs/experience of hosting their twins; team bonding.  As well, the majority of parents are willing to help with a fundraising event.  

With this in mind we are already committed to gift wrapping.   
1) Please sign up your child for, at least, one of the gift wrapping sessions at the Coast Mt/Sports Expert.  We will also need a parent for each session - so if gift wrapping is something you can do, please sign up at the following link for gift wrapping in December:

2) Also we will be providing the baked goods for the "First Night" at the Canada Games Centre on Dec. 31.  

Each family is to make 3 or 4 dozen 'baked' treats.  Biggest sellers were sugar cookies with sprinkles and other cookies and cupcakes.  Nothing too fancy like macaroons as it is kids that are the buyers!  The cookies etc. can be made early and frozen.  We will have a sign up closer to the event for those that are able to man the table during the event (it is early in the evening of Dec. 31).
3) Purdy's:  NOV 20th DEADLINE!!
This has been a great money maker for other organizations as sellers receive 25% of the proceeds.   The link can be emailed to family and friends!
